VRRNE

Validated Multi-User Rad/Nuc VR Simulation Environment for Training
Built off of Spectral Labs’ “RAILS” technology developed for the DHS Domestic Nuclear Detection Office, and later expanded with DTRA SBIR funding. Featuring simulation of Rad/Nuc instruments, sources, and shielding effects.

Realistic Virtual Instruments
A virtual reality tool to give Warfighters the ability to train, mission rehearse (practice), test and asses the use of various instruments in different radiological scenarios. Current Version of VRRNE includes 11 different VR environments and 5 instruments and supports up to 10 concurrent users.

High Fidelity Radiation Simulation Capabilities

  • Distance (1/r^2) and shielding for Gamma, Alpha,
    Beta, and Neutron radiation
  • Accurate, energy dependant material attenuation
  • Distributed sources (for simulating contamination)
  • Optional Scatter effects for high activity sources
  • Tested against MCNP Models and Ground Truth Data
Over 30 available sources. Source placement mode allows you to set up point source, scatter point source, large ground plane contamination area, ‘painted on’ contamination area.

Multiplayer Capability on LAN
VRRNE software allows you to mission rehearse, train, or collaborate on tactics in a virtual space with a group of your colleagues in multiplayer mode. Instrument/radiation behavior is synced.
